Kumara Chinta is a second-year Master’s student in Transportation Engineering at Northeastern University who is supervised by Prof. Haris Koutsopoulos and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from IIT Bombay. With a deep passion for transportation systems, he is focused on developing innovative solutions for transit and traffic. During his internship at Stantec in New York City, Kumara worked on traffic data analysis, toll prediction models, and big data analysis for toll road projects. As a Senior Section Engineer for the Pune Metro Rail Project, he was responsible for traffic studies, cost optimization, and managing station contracts. He is committed to continuous learning, creative problem-solving, and enhancing transportation systems.
