Dan is a second-year MST student at MIT.  He is interested in public transportation systems, with particular attention to operations, maintenance, and fare policy.  His undergraduate degree is from the University of Oregon in Economics, but it was during his time in economic consulting that he embraced his passion for transportation.  Prior to coming to MIT, he worked for TriMet and C-TRAN, two transit agencies in the Portland, Oregon area.  He is currently working on fare research projects with WMATA and the CTA.  Apart from school his main hobbies include reading, games of all kinds, and spending as much time as possible outdoors.
