Jintai is a first year graduate student at Department of Urban Studies and Planning of MIT. He is interested in the effect social relationships and inter-personal interactions have on travel behaviors on the demand side, and believes that new information and communications technologies along with data mining tools are providing convenience and precision in revealing and modelling travellers’ preferences. Furthermore, he has also done research on ludology and the role of game play in establishing and changing urban forms.
Jintai holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Architecture from Tsinghua University, China. He has worked in Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua, Tongheng Urban Planning and Design Institute, where he involved in mixed-use development on brinks of “historical” zones in Beijing and Guangzhou.
