Rachel Luo is a first-year Master in City Planning student in the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at MIT. Her current research projects focus on user preferences towards autonomous vehicles, and their environmental and policy implications. She also works on behavioral interventions to promote environmentally friendly transportation in China. Rachel received her bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University. Prior to arriving at MIT, she worked at the World Bank and Bloomberg on sustainable development and clean energy. In her spare time, she enjoys reading novels outdoors or going for a run in the woods.
