Jasmine is a visiting Masters student in the JTL Urban Mobility Laboratory from New York University, where she is on a Fulbright Scholarship. Her research interests pertain to assessing the viability of new transportation modalities, particularly with reference to rural geographies. Her current thesis work is focussing on analysing the environmental benefits of urban air mobility across the United Kingdom. Prior to MIT, she gained a First Class BEng (Hons) in Engineering at University of Warwick She has a multitude of industrial experience, encompassing internships at Rolls Royce, the European Space Agency, C2SMARTER, and the Singaporean Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). In the future, she seeks to bridge the gap between technical expertise and governance, a nexus she has already begun via her tenures on the Transport for London Youth Panel and as the UK’s Young Ambassador to the Commonwealth.
