Hongmou is a doctoral student in the Department of Urban Studies and Planning. His current research interest is how mobility sharing can be modeled, and how it will reshape cities. His prior research include various topics in different modelable aspects of cities, e.g. land-use dynamics and impact of metro rail on urban mobility. Before starting his Ph.D. at DUSP, Hongmou trained as a planner and urban modeler at both Peking University (Bachelor's in Urban Planning and Applied Mathematics) and the University of Pennsylvania (Master of City Planning). His planning practices include internships at Daqing Institute of Urban Planning & Architectural Design and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission's Office of Modeling and Analysis, as well as various studio projects at school.
Hongmou’s hobbies are playing bass guitar, reading books on linguistics, and watching sports.
