Karthik is a Masters' student of city planning at MIT's Department of Urban Studies and Planning. His research focuses on the social behavior and how it influences the perception of travel time. He holds a Bachelors in Architecture (B.arch) with a concentration in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He became interested in mobility behavior through architecture design projects for transit oriented development and has since worked on research on fare subsidy and social behavior in public transportation. Outside school, Karthik likes long road bike trips and sailing on the Charles.
